Kym Winter-Dewhirst
Kym is Vice President Government and Community for BHP Billiton's Uranium Australia group based in Adelaide, South Australia. He is the government interface and community link for the Olympic Dam copper/uranium/gold mine in the state's far northern region which is Australia's largest underground mining operation. Olympic Dam extracts its water from two borefields within the Great Artesian Basin which sits within the Greater Lake Eyre Basin. A former ministerial Chief-of-Staff, Kym is the nominated delegate for the Minerals Council of Australia.
The Lake Eyre Basin Agreement is implemented by the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, and the Queensland, South Australian and Northern Territory Governments
