CAC members

The Lake Eyre Basin Ministerial Forum Community Advisory Committee (the CAC) consists of seventeen members representing community stakeholders in the Lake Eyre Basin.

Members of the CAC are appointed by the Australian Government Minister for the Environment and Heritage under the Lake Eyre Basin Intergovernmental Agreement. The CAC currently has the following members:

Angus Emmott is the independent chair and represents pastoral, community and NRM interests
Brenda Shields represents Indigenous interests in the NT part of the Basin
David Alexander represents NT regional NRM interests
George Cooley represents Indigenous interests in the SA part of the Basin
Jan McIntyre represents community and pastoral interests
Joc Schmiechen represents tourism interests
Marilyn Ah Chee represents Indigenous interests in the SA part of the Basin
Matt Turner represents conservation interests
Natalie Turner represents NT pastoral interests
Scott Gorringe represents Indigenous interests in the QLD part of the Basin
Sharon Oldfield represents community and pastoral interests
Trevor Whitelaw represents petroleum interests
Kym Winter-Dewhirst represents mining interests
Judith Harrison represents Qld Indigenous interests
David Dolman represents NT Indigenous interests
