Scott belongs to Mithaka country which is bordered on the east by the Cooper Creek and the west by the Diamantina River - far western Queensland. Scott has a passion for this country and wishes to see it remain as natural as possible. He has lived all of his life in remote and/or rural communities, and regularly returns to country with his family.
Scott has worked for Education Queensland, and for the Centre for Rural and Regional Innovation Queensland (University of Queensland) where his role was a Learning Facilitator in leadership and facilitation. Scott now works as a self-employed consultant on Indigenous leadership and governance challenges; he is also contracted to the Stronger Smarter Institute (Indigenous Educational Leadership).
